A graduate of Northwestern University and a former radio talk show host, Ms. Kaplan is an articulate, knowledgeable and personable speaker who regularly speaks at meetings and seminars. Originally from New York, she now lives in Northern Virginia.

Amy C. Hoffman, CFP®, Senior Vice-President

Amy C. Hoffman, CFPAmy Hoffman was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio in 1994.

Amy has been a financial planning analyst with The Jentner Financial Group of Akron, Ohio, a financial planning assistant with Sullivan, Bruyette, Speros and Blayney of McLean, Virginia, and a financial analyst with Ernst & Young LLP of Washington, D.C. Amy joined Advisors Financial, Inc. in January of 1999.

Amy completed her CFP certification in September of 2000 and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She is also a Registered Investment Adviser Representative with Cadaret Grant and Co., Inc. and is licensed to sell life, health and disability insurance.

Amy has been recently interviewed for an article in the Journal of Financial Planning entitled, "New Kids on the Block", which details the experiences of a freshman financial planner.
